  1. Select Find from the Search menu to search the entries in the currently open document for specific words, numbers, or phrases.

  3. 1. In the Find dialog box, enter the text you want
  4.     to find in the Find text box.  Click the options to
  5.     match a whole word, match upper/lowercase,
  6.     or match only the beginning of a field.
  7.  
  8. 2. To search only selected fields in each entry,
  9.     click the Search In Selected Fields button and
  10.     choose the fields you wish to search from the
  11.     list.

  13. 3. Click the Find button.  The way the found text
  14.     appears depends on where you are when you
  15.     start the Find operation.  If you are in the
  16.     Document window in Browse mode, the text
  17.     appears highlighted.  If you are in Layout mode,
  18.     the text appears in a grey box.  If you are in the
  19.     Data Entry dialog box, the found entry appears
  20.     in the dialog box.

  22. If you click Find All, and you are in the Document window in either Browse or Layout mode, Address Book Plus finds and highlights all instances of the selected text in the file.

If the first instance of the text found isn’t the one you want, choose Find Again in the Search menu or press Command-G.  Find Again looks for the string specified in the Find dialog box and searches the same fields.  If there is no string specified, Address Book Plus dims the Find Again menu item.
